I-T officer posts video of playful cats in North Block, Twitter amused

Some of the workplace joys are petting the 'adopted' street dogs and cats which lurk around the office. Most find playing with them, taking and posting their photos on social media as stress relievers. It is not uncommon for most office spaces of 'adopting' the dogs and cats. But cats and dogs being part of the Indian bureaucracy's office space that too in the Central government, is truly an eye-opener.

A senior I-T official tweeted a video of cats playing around the North Block on Sunday. In the video, two cats are seen pawing each other playfully around a Ganesh statue. In his tweet, the official indicated that the little animals hanging around the offfice space was one of the fun moments at North Block.  He wrote, "Weekends may mean work sometimes, but North Block has lighter months also." The tweet received several shares and likes especially by those who understand the joy of having animals in the vicinity of their office.

When pets' obsession gets out of control

In April, an American tourist staying in a hotel in Ahmedabad with 14 pets, including a goat, had called the police after the hotel management asked her to leave. The incident took place on April 10 when the woman tourist from the United States called the police following an altercation with the hotel manager.
