During the two-day visit to her constituency Amethi, Union Minister and BJP MP Smriti Irani attended an event for mass baby shower & 'Annaprashana' in Gauriganj on June 23.
As per inputs, she also distributed laptops among 240 Lekhpals of the district, at the event.
Smriti Irani had gone on a visit to Baraulia village in Amethi district to conduct a rally march following her victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections against Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
On Saturday, Union Minister Smriti Irani and Goa CM Pramod Sawant met the people at the villages in Amethi that were adopted by late Goa CM Manohar Parrikar on June 22.
Later during her visit, Smriti Irani also met the family of her close aide Surendra Singh who was shot dead late at night at his residence on May 25.
On Saturday, while addressing the people in a rally, she thanked the people for their valuable votes and assured that she will work towards not only the well being of all those who voted for her but also those who did not vote for BJP. She said that she will make sure that no one in the district is deprived of any benefits.
"For the next five years, our government will work for 'sabka saath, sabka vikas and sabka vishwaas'. I am thankful to the state government for providing 8 new ambulances in Amethi. I am thankful to UP deputy CM Keshav Maurya for providing better roads to people in Gauriganj and Tiloi. 2,017 people in Amethi have been benefitted under the PM Awas Yojana" said Union Minister Smriti Irani in Amethi.
