Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Bipin Rawat on Wednesday paid a visit to the forward locations of Chetak Corps, wherein he interacted with the army jawans and took note of their preparations.
The army chief, who had just a few days ago met the Norther army commander Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, has been meeting the armed personnel across the country. In his recent visit, he expressed his satisfaction on the morale of the Chetak Corps.

The #COAS interacted with the troops in forward locations & expressed satisfaction on their state of morale & readiness," the Twitter post of ADG PI - Indian Army read.
On March 2, amid the ceasefire violations by Pakistan, COAS General Rawat along with Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, Army Commander, Northern Command visited the White Knight Corps to review the operational preparedness of the forces in the Corps Zone along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB).
During the visit to the Corps Headquarters, the COAS was briefed and updated by Lt Gen Paramjit Singh, GOC, White Knight Corps about the current operational
situation, prevailing security scenario and the preparedness of the formation.
The COAS was also briefed on the actions taken to meet the challenges of increased ceasefire violations and measures put in place to thwart the nefarious designs of the adversary. The COAS was also briefed on the measures reinforced in hinterland in the Area of Responsibility towards ensuring peace and stability.
