'Breathtaking' is the word that comes to one's mind when we think of Jammu and Kashmir. And that is what Prime Minister Narendra Modi has captured in the pictures posted on his Instagram profile.
PM Modi had visited Leh, Jammu and Srinagar on Sunday to lay foundation stones for various development projects.
Following his visit, he gave his followers a glimpse of the picturesque state with a befitting caption on his Instagram profile, "A memorable day in Jammu and Kashmir. Visited Leh, Jammu and Srinagar. Several development works were launched. The state’s scenic beauty is enchanting!
PM Modi on Sunday laid foundation stones All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and an Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), in Jammu among other projects. He also digitally launched Entrepreneurship and Skill Hub at Mumbai's Sophia College from Jammu.
At Leh, PM Modi addressed a public meeting. He praised the people of the region for living under inhospitable climatic conditions and said their lives inspire him.
"You live in difficult conditions and challenge them. That is a huge inspiration for me to work hard for you. Your affection for me will be repaid to you through development projects. Adverse climatic conditions bring difficulties, there are electricity supply and water supply issues, there are health issues. The Centre is committed to improving it, and hence I keep coming to Jammu and Kashmir, Leh-Ladakh..
"The Centre is working across the country in five-fold ways - education for children, employment for youth, healthcare for old, agriculture, and redressals for public. We are working to strengthen the facilities in Leh Ladakh." he said.
