At Leh, PM Modi addressed a public meeting. He praised the people of the region for living under inhospitable climatic conditions and said their lives inspire him.

"You live in difficult conditions and challenge them. That is a huge inspiration for me to work hard for you. Your affection for me will be repaid to you through development projects.
