IN PICTURES: The Ambanis look regal as they don traditional attires for the ‘Anna Seva’ function in Udaipur

The wedding festivities of business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's daughter Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, son of Ajay and Swati Piramal have kick-started as the couple is all set to tie the knot on December 12. Both the families are currently in Udaipur as the pre-wedding functions will be held on December 8 and 9.

Ahead of the wedding festivities, the Ambanis arranged a special ‘Anna Seva’ to seek Udaipur’s blessings for their daughter Isha who is soon going to start a new journey in her life. Family members, including Mukesh and Nita Ambani, Ajay and Swati Piramal, Isha and Anand were present at the function, where they were seen serving food to around 5100 people and interacting with them. The Anna Seva functions will continue for four days, from 7th to 10th December and will be performed three times a day at the Narayan Seva Sansthan in Udaipur.

For the event, the bride and the groom, along with their parents and Isha’s brother Anant were all seen dressed in traditional attires. The mother-daughter duo Nita and Isha looked gorgeous as they began the wedding celebration by serving the locals. Nita donned a plain full sleeves purple salwar suit and paired it up with a heavily gold-embodied dupatta, bride-to-be Isha looked gorgeous donning a red and gold salwar suit. They accessorised themselves with heavy earrings matching with their respective outfits. The men of the family, present at the event, were seen dressed in black kurta and white pyjamas.

On the other hand,  Anand Piramal donned a bright yellow Sherwani for the evening. His mother Swati Piramal donned a red saree and father Ajay Piramal wore a blue kurta pyjama and paired it up with a waistcoat.

The Ambanis, who recently attended Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' wedding celebrations in Jodhpur, are all set to host their daughter's wedding at their Mumbai residence in traditional style following the pre-wedding festivities in Udaipur. 

A few days ago, there was a sneak peek of what could be the insides of the wedding invite, which the Ambanis had first taken to the Siddhivinayak temple. The Ambani and Piramal families hosted a three-day bash on September 22, at Lake Como in Italy, in order to celebrate Isha and Anand's engagement. It was quite an extravagant affair and people are expecting it to get even bigger and better during the wedding. The star-studded affair hosted eminent celebrities including Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Sonam and Anand Ahuja, among others.
