"The Lion Roars", tweeted Major Gaurav Arya as Pakistan buckled under the relentless and unprecedented pressure mounted by India. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan announced the release of IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan while addressing his country's parliament on Thursday. Wing Commander Abhinandan, who was captured by Pakistani Army, will return to India tomorrow through the Wagah border, sources have confirmed to Republic TV.

In a three-word-tweet, Major Arya summed up the sentiments of the entire country.

The Pakistan government's repeated attempts and statements using Wing Commander Abhinandan's capture to beg India to come to the negotiating table utterly failed, leaving Pakistan with no choice in the face of India's resolve.

The announcement of Wing Commander's release comes a day after Pakistan's Air Force attempted an attack on India's military installations in the Lam Valley of J&K's Nowshera but was intercepted and driven away by the Indian Air Force. During the battle in the skies, India's MIGs chased and shot down a Pakistani F-16 - a newer and more advanced US-made fighter jet - one that Pakistan has brazenly maintained that it didn't deploy in the mission. It was in this operation that Wing Commander Abhinandan's plane went down, and upon ejecting, he landed in PoK and was captured.

Earlier in the day, shortly after the Pakistan Army held a press conference in which it claimed “Pakistan did not use F-16 in any activity”, India busted the lie. Republic TV has accessed exclusive pictures of the remains of an AMRAAM missile - one that can only be mounted on an F-16 - that was fired at an Indian target, providing proof that clearly smashed Pakistan's claim of the F-16 not being part of its air operation.
