Home Minister Amit Shah saluted the martyrs of the Indian freedom struggle on the occasion of India's 73rd Independence Day and urged the citizens of the country to partake in Prime Minister Narendra's Modi's vision to make a new India.

Home Minister Amit Shah said that under PM Modi's vision, the country had witnessed unprecedented growth in the field of education, health, security, and defence and rallied for the people of India to back PM Modi and be a part of the historic New India. 

"Today under the leadership of Modi ji, our country is growing at an unprecedented pace in all fields like education, health, security and infrastructure. Come on this Independence Day, we all become partakers in realizing Modi ji's new India by performing his duties towards the nation", he wrote on Twitter

PM Modi wishes the nation

PM Narendra Modi on Thursday wished Indians on the occasion of 73rd Independence Day as well for the festival of Raksha Bandhan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation from the ramparts of Red Fort, Delhi from 7:30 am onwards on the occasion of India's 73rd Independence Day on August 15. PM Modi will deliver his speech after hoisting the national flag at the Red Fort. Ahead of his Independence Day address, he will be paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at the Rajghat at 7.00 am.
