India on the way to becoming 'super science power' under PM Modi, says Nitin Gadkari hailing scientists over 'Mission Shakti' gamechanger

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has shared his first reaction to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's massive Wednesday morning announcement regarding India's incredible anti-satellite 'space weaponisation' feat.

Minutes after the Prime Minister announced to the country that 'Mission Shakti' - entailing the downing of a Low-Earth Orbit satellite by an indigenous Anti-Satellite weapon (A-SAT) - had been successfully accomplished in just three minutes, Nitin Gadkari, the Minister for Road Transport & Highways and Shipping, said ,”Congratulations to all the scientists for carrying out "Mission Shakti" successfully. India is moving fast towards becoming a world leader, and under PM Modi's leadership, it is on its way to not only become a 'super economic power', but also a 'super science power.”

Gadkari concluded his remarks by calling it a historic day and by applauding the Indian scientists yet again, saying, vaigyaniko (scientists) ko Sabhi“hardik abhinandan aur shubhkamnayein.”

Gadkari was joined by a number of other BJP leaders in hailing India's accomplishment. Taking it to Twitter, Rajiv Pratap Rudy wrote:

Making the announcement, the Prime Minister added that Mission Shakti led by the Defense Research and Development Organization was not directed against any country rather the country's motive in being a space power is only that of spreading peace and not war. He further tweeted the reasons for Mission Shakti being so special. Here’s what he said-
