The Indian Air Force successfully evacuated a wounded climber from the MT Nun base camp on Sunday, the IAF’s Public Relations Officer in Leh confirmed. After being called, the IAF's 114 helicopter unit rushed to the scene and airlifted the wounded climber to safety.

In a statement on X, previously Twitter, PRO (Public Relations Officer), Leh shared footage and pictures from the challenging rescue mission, writing, "114 HU (helicopter unit) #Leh of Indian Air Force successfully evacuated an injured mountaineer from Mt Nun base camp in a risky rescue op(Operation)."
