Indian Army helps people in smooth transition to normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir

Republic TV has accessed exclusive footage of the Indian Armed Forces helping the people of Jammu and Kashmir to return to normalcy after Article 370 was abrogated on August 5.

Republic TV has accessed exclusive footage of the Indian Armed Forces helping the people of Jammu and Kashmir to return to normalcy after Article 370 was abrogated on August 5.

Army helps Kashmir

Days after Section 144 was imposed on a few regions in the state, in addition to deployment of additional troops for security concerns and preventive measures, locals of the state returned to normal life with the Indian Army helping the citizens via distributing food and basic necessities. 

Visuals accessed by Republic TV show the army men helping the localities at Jawahar Nahar area to access the day to day essential in areas that are higher on the terrain. Food packets, milk, and other daily essentials are provided by the army as the curfew imposed has led to a shutdown in the state. Although there are certain difficulties for the citizens to access basic necessities owing to the imposition Section 144, the presence and aid of the Army has helped in a smooth transition and provide a healing touch to the Kashmiris.     

NSA Ajit Doval reviews the situation in Kashmir

NSA (National Security Advisor) Ajit Doval went to a two-day review visit to the Jammu and Kashmir amid the security conditions in the region. In multiple exclusive videos from his visit to the Shopian region, the NSA is seen having lunch with the local citizens of the region. He can be seen interacting with the locals, taking a review of their day-to-day activities and assuring them that the situation is normal in the sector. In the 8 videos from Kashmir, NSA Ajit Doval is seen interacting with the local citizens of Shopian region of J&K, and eating food with them in broad daylight on the streets.

Congress insults Kashmir

Even as NSA Ajit Doval visited Jammu and Kashmir and videos and pictures of his visit shows absolute normalcy in the valley, Congress has not only claimed that Centre has done wrong in scrapping Article 370, but has also insulted Kashmiris. Speaking to media before visiting the state on Thursday, Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that anyone in Kashmir can be paid money to make them do what one wants. 

When asked about NSA Doval's visit to Kashmir and about people seen with him in the video, the Rajya Sabha leader of Opposition said "Paise deke aap kisiko bhi saath lelo" (You can take anyone along by paying them money.)

The Congress leader went on to say: "I will go to Srinagar today. Every time when Parliament ends, I visit valley. This govt forcefully made state into UT. Even before freedom it was largest princely state. But they turned to a UT forcefully. They demolished Jammu and Kashmir's identity. People of Kashmir are in anger and I will be together with them.There's nothing there, no internet, no communication. Has this happened anywhere in any other place?"
