Infosys ranks no.3 in Forbes list of World's Best Regarded Companies

Nandan Nilekani, Indian entrepreneur and co-founder of Infosys, took to Twitter to thank Forbes for naming Infosys the third best company in the world. The list of best-regarded companies is usually based on social conduct, company’s trustworthiness, honesty, fairness and the performance of its products and services. Infosys has ranked number three on the Forbes list of 'The World's Best Regarded Companies' for 2019. As many as 17 other Indian companies like TCS and HDFC have been named. To further gather accurate data, Statista surveyed 15,000 respondents from over 50 countries.

Nandan Nilekani on Infosys 

Nilekani, in a statement, asserted that he is 'proud' of the Infosys family for achieving such recognition by Forbes. Sharing his thoughts through a tweet, he stated that he is grateful to the American magazine for embellishing such an honour. Notably, Infosys made the Best Companies list in 2018 as well, where it was placed 31; in a seemingly positive outcome of events, the IT consulting company jumped 28 steps to grab the no.3 spot this year. Global payments technology company Visa and Ferrari, the Italian luxury sports car, are on the first and second position, respectively.

Forbes most respected companies

The US dominated the list of the best-regarded companies. It is home to 59 of the 250 companies mentioned in the list. The next companies in line with maximum representation are Japan, China and India. The other companies in the top ten list are Netflix at number four, Paypal, Microsoft, Walt Disney, Toyota Motor, Mastercard and Costco Wholesale. Other Indian companies that are included in the list are Tata Steel, Larsen and Toubro, Mahindra & Mahindra, HDFC, Bajaj Finserv, Piramal Enterprises, Steel Authority of India, HCL Technologies, Hindalco Industries, Wipro, Sun Pharma Industries, General Insurance Corporation Of India, ITC and Asian Paints.
