The IPS association has accepted PM Modi's fitness challenge. Taking to Twitter the association wrote,
"Policing requires high levels of physical & mental fitness. We welcome challenge by Hon PM Sri @narendramodi. While 40+ amongst us count many athletes it's added motivation for the IPS to invest some time for good health in midst of unending demands of policing #HumFitTohIndiaFit"
Moments after Prime Minister Narendra Modi challenged newly appointed Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy to post his fitness video on social media. The Prime Minister has also nominated Manika Batra and the 'entire fraternity of brave IPS officers, especially those above 40' for the challenge.
Minutes later the Karnataka CM responded through a sarcastic tweet and said he felt honoured by PM's concern about his health. He then in politicised the fitness challenge and snubbed it while saying, " I am more concerned about development fitness of my state &seek ur support for it (sic)."
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accepted the fitness challenge thrown at him by Team India skipper Virat Kohli. Taking to Twitter, PM Modi posted a video of his morning exercise.

The #FitnessChallenge, which has gone viral on social media is an initiative propagated by Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, the Minister of State with Independent Charge of the Information and Broadcasting, and Youth Affairs and Sports ministries. Following Col Rathore publishing his own video where he demonstrates how he has added a fitness regimen to his daily work-day, and putting the challenge forth to others, people from a number different walks of life, including politicians, members of the Bollywood and film and entertainment industry, members of the sporting fraternity, government employees and other people have taken up the challenge under the slogan 'hum fit toh India fit'.
