Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis praised the government's decision of scrapping Article 370 pertaining to Jammu and Kashmir and paving the way for its full integration into India.

In a series of tweets, Fadnavis cited the historic decision as 'a new era of Independence', and he said that revoking Article 370 was a long-awaited process which is now a reality for all Indians. Here's his tweet:

Mentioning the BJP's stance of 'Nation First', the CM of Maharashtra also congratulated and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for their staunch leadership:

Later, Fadnavis went on to say that he had been waiting for years for this day. In addition, he also mentioned Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee for his dedication towards the cause which now became a reality:
