‘JAI HIND, JAI HIND KI SENA’, writes Lata Mangeshkar, conveys love for country by remembering Veer Savarkar on his death anniversary

Celebrities from the film industry also took to Twitter to share their delight. Lata Mangeshkar praised the country and gave a shout-out to its armed forces, writing, “JAI HIND,JAI HIND Ki SENA.”

Lata Mangeshkar praised the country and gave a shout-out to its armed forces, writing, “JAI HIND,JAI HIND Ki SENA.”

Mangeshkar shared a throwback video singing ‘Vande Mataram’ at an event where her sister Usha Mangeshkar, late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray, Sudesh Bhosle, among others are also standing beside her on stage. The video gives goosebumps every time you watch it, but its impact on this day will definitely be more intense. 

The Bharat Ratna also remembered freedom fighter Veer Savarkar on his death anniversary on the same day. Mangeshkar conveyed her respects to him and to the feeling of love for the country. She also shared a video of her rendition of the late leader’s poem ‘Jayostute.’  The singer wrote, "Aaj Swatantrya veer Savarkar ji ki punyatithi hai.Main unke vyaktitva ko aur desh prem ko koti koti pranam karti hun.

12 days after the Pulwama attack on the CRPF soldiers, the Indian forces on Tuesday morning have destroyed the terror bases of Jaish-e-Mohammad in Balakot, Chakoti, Muzaffarabad in Pakistan by dropping 1000 kg of bombs from 12 Mirage 2000 jets. Sources have told Republic TV that the attack took place at 3:30 am on February 26 and three control rooms of the terror group have been destroyed as the Indian forces avenged Pulwama.
