Jammu and Kashmir BJP state secretary Anil Parihar and his brother shot dead by unidentified gunmen

Jammu and Kashmir state secretary of the BJP Anil Parihar and his brother Ajit Parihar was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the state's Kishtwar district on Thursday.

Update at 9:58 PM: J&K BJP chief Ravinder Raina: This is a cowardly act. Anil Parihar fought the terrorists bravely. He always upheld the Indian flag even during the most turbulent times in the state. There was intelligence that 8-10 Pakistani terrorists had infiltrated. We approached higher authorities, but sometimes, we can falter in assessing intelligence reports. This attack could have been avoided.

Jammu and Kashmir state secretary of the BJP Anil Parihar and his brother Ajit Parihar was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the state's Kishtwar district on Thursday. As per reports, they were shot from point-blank range with pistols. 

Even as the SSP is trying to reach the spot, he is facing tough resistance by the people. Meanwhile, MoS PMO Jitendra Singh is rushing to the spot. Further details are awaited.
