Senior party leaders, including state president Dilip Ghosh and national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, were present during the ceremony.

Nadda slams Mamata Banerjee government

Addressing the gathering in Kolkata, the BJP Working President slammed the West Bengal government led by TMC supremo Mamta Banerjee, calling it 'jungle raaj'. JP Nadda added that more than 80 people have lost their lives in the incidents of political violence in the city.

"Jungle rule is going on in West Bengal, there is nothing called law and order, democracy is being strangled in the state. The West Bengal government is physically torturing its opponent. More than 80 people have lost their lives in political violence in the city. The Jungle Raj government in West Bengal is not able to enforce law and order, nor is able to provide justice to the victims. The police has become a mute spectator and the protectors have become devourer," JP Nadda said.
