RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat speaking about the Ram Mandir issue on Sunday said that justice which was delayed is justice denied. Bhagwat was speaking in Nagpur.

While he remained certain that the Temple will be built, he added the government needed to act fast. He also expressed disappointment over the deprioritising of the issue by the Supreme Court.

Here are the key points from his speech:

"For the first time I went there in 1987... it has been 30 years... now I am in Nagpur for the same reason...

"The public interest matter should not be delayed. Hindus are peace loving and will take that route but it is 30 years since the issue came up. But Mandir should come up.

"No one can question devotion but if you continue to halt the case...  There is a saying - justice delayed is justice denied - and the same is happening with the issue of Ram Mandir. What happened in Ayodhya was also because of delay -- it's matter of faith, why delay the in it? -- do it fast. If you delay the truth and justice then I request, say one thing and teach everyone that justice delayed is justice denied. It's not a political issue. But the decision should be taken before election and it seems the matter is not a priority for court.

"Ayodhya is a place of Ram. How is it possible that his Temple is not built? Ram belongs to us all, even those who don't believe in him say that he is symbolises idealism. Ye place Ram Lala ka hai, vaha to Mandir banega hi banega. (This place is of Ram Lala, the Mandir will be  built there)."

The RSS chief's speech comes on the day of Uddhav Thackeray's event in Ayodhya supporting the Ram Mandir cause.
