Kamlesh Tiwari's mother happy with arrests, wants accused hanged

Kamlesh Tiwari's mother Kusum on Wednesday has said she is happy with arrests and government action, and she has demanded the death penalty for the accused

Founder of Hindu Samaj Party Kamlesh Tiwari's mother, Kusum Tiwari on Wednesday demanded a death penalty for all the accused persons arrested for Kamlesh Tiwari's killing. According to her, she is extremely happy with the arrest of the accused persons. She also mentioned that she is satisfied with the government's actions. Earlier, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) nabbed two criminals involved in the killing of Kamlesh Tiwari. Tiwari was shot dead on October 18 in Lucknow. 

Gujarat ATS nabs criminals

The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Tuesday arrested two criminals involved in the killing of Kamlesh Tiwari from the Gujarat-Rajasthan border. The criminals have been identified as Ashfaq Hussain Jakirhussain Shaikh (34) and Moinuddin Khurshid Pathan (27). According to reports, they were the ones seen wearing saffron clothes in the CCTV footage following the killing of Kamlesh Tiwari.

Kamlesh Tiwari's killing

The former chief of Hindu Mahasabha was shot on October 18 in Lucknow. Kamlesh Tiwari, the leader of Hindu Mahasabha, was attacked by unidentified assailants, while he was at his home. Soon after the attack, he was admitted to the hospital where he succumbed to the injuries. The murder was caught on the CCTV footage in the area. While the assailants had managed to flee the spot, a revolver was seized by the police.

UP Police Monitoring Social Media Accounts

Following the murder of Tiwari, the Uttar Pradesh Police have been closely monitoring social media to block any attempts at inciting communal hatred. In this regard, officials stated that the UP Police have registered 32 cases in the last 72 hours. Earlier on October 20, DGP OP Singh had said that police is keeping a tab on social media to prevent any rumour-mongering.
