13-year-old Mentally Challenged Teenager Goes Missing

Kartik Shaw, the father of the 13-year-old, immediately contacted the police for help after he spotted his child amongst the inmates of the mentally challenged home. The police were also swift with their action as they got in touch with Doordarshan channel to inquire about the location of the footage. It was then found that an employee of the State Sericulture Department, Moslem Munshi runs the home for mentally challenged at the Nakashipura area in Nadia district. Munshi confirmed that the boy was sent to 'Nirmal Hriday' by the District Child Welfare Committee around one-and-a-half-years ago where he was found recently.

However, the boy was rescued from Karimpur by the Nadia district administration last year and kept securely at a government home nearby. Munshi stated that the parents missed their child and could not hold back after seeing him. He said, "The parents of the boy contacted me, came to Nakashipara and met him on Sunday.
