Even as most of the media reports said that the Kotak Mahindra Bank sacked Nandakumar, its ex Assistant Manager of Kochi branch. The reports adversely affected the ratings of the banks’s official Facebook page with the users awarding 1 star to it. People even started commenting on a post on the page regarding Nandakumar’s horrific message with the hashtag #dismissyourmanager

However, on Friday, Kotak Mahindra Bank issued an official statement regarding the issue and said that the bank had already sacked the employee on April 11, 2018 owing to his poor performance. The bank also mentioned that though by an ex employee the post is equally condemnable owing to its content which denigrated the suffering of the child and cries of the nation to get justice for her.

"We have terminated Vishnu Nandakumar from the services of the bank on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 for poor performance. It is extremely disheartening to see such comments being made in the aftermath of such tragedy by anyone including an ex-employee. We strongly condemn this statement," read the official statement.

Since the time it got posted online, Nandakumar's post garnered a lot of anger from netizens for all the right reasons as its content spewed venom for a little girl who was victimised in the most brutal way possible.

Nandakumar has deleted his Facebook account since the controversy.
