It appears like controversies are not ending soon for Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy. In a major development, Human Rights activist and advocate Narasimha Murthy has lodged a complaint against the JD(S) leader with the State Human Rights Commission on Wednesday over the video wherein he was heard giving orders to someone to mercilessly kill the assailants of his party worker Prakash.

Urging the Human Rights Commission to issue a notice to Kumaraswamy in the plea, the PUCL called the Karnataka CM saying, "Such act of CM naturally brings high pressure on police which would result in police to go beyond law. It is a scary development. Such act is illegal, will dilute the spirit of constitution."

On Tuesday, a video came into the light featuring HD Kumaraswamy giving orders on the phone to kill murderers to JD(S) leader Prakash. In the video, he was heard saying:

"He was a good man. I'm hurt because he has been murdered. There were three murders that took place in the past. I'm disappointed. Who are your inspectors? Where was the circle inspector? He was murdered in the middle of a road. I don't know how your handling it. It is your duty. I'm very disappointed. He was a very good man. If needed shoot him. Don't spare such criminals. I don't care about such people. Kill them (assailants) mercilessly in a shootout, no problem".

n the aftermath of the controversy, the Karnataka CM came up with yet another bizarre explanation of his act that was caught on cam, stating he was saying those things as a 'citizen', and not as a CM while questioning the legal system of the country. Speaking to the media on this matter, the JD(S) leader issued a third clarification on the original matter.

He said, "After I reached Vijayapura airport yesterday at around 5 pm, when police brought this incident to my notice. It affected my mind. I called the police and made a statement. In the recent days, our country's plight is such. People who have committed murders come out on bail. The legal system is that way. People who have committed these crimes have no fear of the law. Such instances can be seen in different cases. The country's system is that way. I'm telling you this with a lot of pain. I've already given orders to the police. One of the suspects who'd committed a murder was out on bail. Although the police knows that he's out on bail, they didn't take preventive steps. I know that the lapse is on their part. I'm saying this as a citizen not as the CM. I've ordered an enquiry."

Several BJP leaders lashed out at HD Kumaraswamy for his shocking statements in the video.
