Condemning the incident, KC Mittal, Chairman of Bar Council of Delhi told a news agency, "We strongly condemn brutal unprovoked attack on lawyers by police at Tis Hazari Court. One lawyer is critical, a young lawyer was beaten in lockup — such is the high-handedness of police. They should be dismissed and prosecuted. We stand with Delhi lawyers".
As the scuffle between both the parties turned worse, the police reportedly opened fire to control the crowd. According to the reports, the lawyers have also hit a media person who was reporting the scuffle and tried snatching mobile phones of the journalists present on the spot.
