A sudden scuffle broke out between the lawyers and the police at the Tis Hazari Court in Delhi on Saturday. According to the reports, one lawyer has been injured in the fracas and has been rushed to St Stephen's Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.

As per the reports, the trigger behind the violence was a rift between the police and lawyers over parking issues in the Tis Hazari premises which turned ugly.

Condemning the incident, KC Mittal, Chairman of Bar Council of Delhi told a news agency, "We strongly condemn brutal unprovoked attack on lawyers by police at Tis Hazari Court. One lawyer is critical, a young lawyer was beaten in lockup — such is the high-handedness of police. They should be dismissed and prosecuted. We stand with Delhi lawyers".
