In a massive development, following Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid and 8 others being named as main-accused in the 2016 JNU sedition case on Monday, Republic TV  accessed the chargesheet filed in the case by the Delhi Police, which is to be taken up on January 19 by a Delhi court.

Laying bare the deep conspiracy, the chargesheet names and details the evidence against the 10 main-accused, as well as the 36 persons against whom there is insufficient evidence, over the incidence of shouting of anti-India slogans during an event on the JNU campus on February 9, 2016, to commemorate the hanging of 2001 Parliament-attack mastermind Afzal Guru.

Several personalities from the political spectrum opined on the naming of Kanhaiya, Khalid and others in the chargesheet.

Here's what Republic TV's editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami had to say about the details and evidence in the chargesheet for the 2016 JNU sedition case which names Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid among others.

Good evening and welcome. Evidence has now emerged of the deep conspiracy that the Tukde Tukde lobby at JNU had hatched. And for a second day running, their once loyal supporters amongst the pseudo-libs have gone hiding. The Tukde Tukde plot-- a design to create disharmony in the country was hatched over emails and phone calls, all of which have now been found by the investigating agencies. Hard evidence including proven videos, voice samples, attempts at forgery, and technical evidence-- all prove that this group tried to make JNU the centre of a spiraling anti-India campaign. People who do this are termites and like termites, they try to destroy the structure that they live in. Tonight, to both the termites and the supporters of the termites, I ask: Where is your hastag #DemocracyInDanger now? Why did you hatch a plot and lie against your own country? And now that your mask has beenyanked outt will you dare cry that we want to stifle your dissent?
