NSA Ajit Doval chaired a high-level meeting with IB, RAW chief and Home Secretary about the preparedness of the border. They also reviewed the security situation.

On Thursday evening, Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale held a meeting with the diplomats from 10 countries, including Germany, Dominican Republic, Nigeria, South Africa & Belgium. The Foreign Secretary briefed them on updates in the situation between India and Pakistan.

The development comes after Pakistan attempted an incursion at KG sector and attempts to target Indian military bases in Nowshera sector.

Top Ministry of External Affairs sources have ruled out India entering into any deal with Pakistan over the latter country having taken IAF pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan captive.

MEA sources have also suggested that after India issued its dossier over Jaish complicity in Pulwama terror attack and Pakistan's sponsorship to terror groups,  it is now up to Imran Khan to walk the talk on terrorism, and his response will determine the environment which Pakistan intends to create.

They also rebutted Pakistan's claims of India being the aggressor by giving out facts on Pakistan's attempt to infiltrate and target military bases.
