Residents of Multai Town in Betul, Madhya Pradesh were in for a surprise as the Tapti River overflowed and made way into the Maa Tapti Temple on Thursday.

In a video posted by ANI on Twitter, the river water can be seen with an enormous current entering the Maa Tapti Temple which is situated on the banks of River Tapti. Watch the video here:

As per reports, the river overflowed after three long years and people were elated. Multai residents immediately started celebrating after Tapti entered the temple. Another set of visuals shows the people posing for pictures amidst all the river water:

Meanwhile, Betul residents are not the only ones that are celebrating. People in Karnataka's Belgaum are also celebrating after the state received incessant rains. Video tweeted by ANI shows locals from the Yamagarni Village dancing on the water-logged National Highway. The locals did not not seem to be bothered by the deluge around them. Instead, music was being played on loudspeakers. Watch the video here:
