Fadnavis had said on Thursday that the Maratha community would be getting the reservation and they would be granted the quota on December 1.

"I am happy to announce that today we got the report from the Backward Class Commission on the issue of Maratha reservation. I had announced earlier itself that we will work on the issue in a time-bound manner, once we get the report on the 15th, we will take a decision before the month of November ends. Now, definitely, we will complete all the formalities on the report. But I want to tell some people do not fight to take credit. This is not an issue of taking credit. It was possible because the entire community came together and the government stood by them. Some people are fighting from credit in this issue as well. And then they say we will gherao on 25th, some say they will gherao on 26th, some say they will protest. But why are you protesting? Now the government is going to take a decision, you should celebrate on the 1st December," Maharashtra CM said.
