Major Gaurav Arya (Rtd) brought our attention to Pakistan PM Imran Khan's evident fright during his admission of the airstrikes conducted by IAF in Pakistan's Balakot following the Pulwama terror attack that martyred 40 CRPF Jawans.
Major Arya also pointed out how Khan's accidental confession stands in stark contrast to the statement that was earlier issued by prominent Pakistan personalities, who repeatedly asserted that the airstrikes only 'killed crows and hit the trees.'
He said, "Very recently I saw a video of Pakistani PM Imran Khan, saying that the Indian Army was planning something very sinister across the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Kashmir (PoK), in which very interestingly Imran Khan mentioned Balakot. He said that this attack that India is planning is far more serious and deadly than they did it in Balakot."
"This to me is funny, hilarious and also surprising because these statements that came from DGIPR Asif Ghafoor and other personalities in Pakistan along with politicians were telling the world that India did nothing in Balakot, a few trees fell and a couple of crows died, so that was what the Pakistani had done. But today if you look at Imran's face, its as if there is no blood at all. It's a scared face, terrifying face," he added.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday finally conceded that India carried out the Balakot airstrike on Pakistani soil. Further, he went on to make the confession in the context of expressing his fears that India has planned an even bigger operation, this time in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir and that the intelligence agencies had 'full knowledge' of this. While addressing the Legislative Assembly in Muzaffarabad on the occasion of 73rd Independence Day of Pakistan, Imran Khan dropped the garb that Pakistan had put up ever since India retaliated on its terror factory in response to the dastardly Pulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF Jawans were martyred, and went on to say that he and the Pak Army had organised multiple National Security Committee meetings once they got wind that India is planning another such strike.
"We have information and we have had two National Security Committee (NSC) meetings. The Pakistan Army has full knowledge that India has made a plan to take action in PoK. Just like how after Pulwama, they took the action in Balakot, according to the information we have, they have made more sinister plans now," Khan said in his address.
