TMC supremo and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee met PM Modi on Wednesday at his residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. This is notably the first meeting between Mamata Banerjee and PM Modi, after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The two leaders had last met in 2018 during a ceremony at a university in West Bengal. Addressing the media following the meeting, Mamata Banerjee stated that it was a good discussion. The TMC supremo has invited PM Modi for business summit in West Bengal following the Durga Puja. She also said that she has extended the invitation to PM Modi to inaugurate the second-largest coal project in the world - Deocha Pachami coal mine - in Birbhum district.
