In a shocking incident, a man attempted suicide inside the Karnataka Vidhan Soudha on Monday, June 24

The individual's body was found in a pool of blood inside the third-floor bathroom which is adjacent to room number 332.

The person has been identified as R Revanna Kumar who hails from Chikkaballapur. Revanna was found with some critical injuries.

As per sources, his wrist was slit and the neck had some injuries.

The 44-year-old Kumar hailed from Chikkaballapur. Kumar was found in an unconscious state by some of the employees at the secretariat. He was rushed to the Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospitals. However, as per sources, his condition is currently unknown and doctors at the Bowring Hospital are trying to revive the individual.

Sources say that Kumar was one of the employees at the secretariat.

The incident occurred at a stone's throw away distance from the Karnataka Chief Minister's office which is also situated on the third floor of the Vidhan Soudha.

The police are treating it as a suicide case. Police are also looking into how Kumar managed to carry a sharp object like a blade or a knife in spite of the heavy security detail of the Vidhan Soudha.
