A fire broke out in Gurugram’s Nathupur region on Thursday, 24 January, gutting more than 100 shanties in the area.

A fire broke out in Gurugram’s Nathupur region on Thursday, 24 January, gutting more than 100 shanties in the area. Reports said a 7-month-old infant has died in the fire. Six fire tenders have been rushed to the spot to control the situation. More details are awaited.

Earlier, a four-story building collapsed in Haryana’s Gurugram in the wee hours on Thursday. The building was located in Gurugram's Ullawas region. Three NDRF teams were rushed to the site of building collapse. More than five people are trapped. 

"DRF and SDRF teams are present at the spot. The rescue operation is underway. The owner of the building has been traced. Cause of the building collapse can be ascertained only after investigation", said Vinay Pratap Singh, Gurugram Deputy Commissioner.
