Injured In Pakistan Firing, 10-day-old Baby Dies In Jammu And Kashmir's Poonch

Earlier on Monday, a 10-day-old baby who was injured in heavy shelling by Pakistani troops along J&K's's Poonch district died at a hospital. Pakistani troops had been doing cross-border firing on July 28 and July, prompting strong and effective retaliation by Indian soldiers, as shared by an Army spokesperson. During the firing on Sunday, the baby was injured in the village in Shahpur sector.

On Wednesday, in retaliation to the recent unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Pakistan Army along the Line of Control (LoC) targeting civilians in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army issued counter fire. Pakistan has been continuously violating ceasefire along the LoC at areas which are known infiltration routes.

Seemingly, the depleting number of terrorists in the Kashmir valley, because of the multiple Cordon and search operations (CASO) launched by the Indian Army has affected the neighbouring country which has resorted to violating the ceasefire.
