'Meditation: Mechanism of Conflict Resolution': PM Modi to Ray Dalio

US Billionaire Ray Dalio on Thursday took to Twitter and expressed his views on meeting PM Modi and his brief discussion on meditation with the latter.

US Billionaire and influential global investor Ray Dalio on Thursday took to Twitter and expressed his views on meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his brief discussion on meditation with the latter. PM Modi, who delivered the keynote address at Saudi Arabia's flagship annual investor meeting recently was also termed as 'one of the best' leaders by the influential global investor. Stating that meditation plays a pivotal role in one's life in the interview, PM Modi said,

"You have asked a very important question, It is true that whether its a mans life journey or journey of health, conflict at every other stage is a natural phenomenon. We all know very well that meditation plays a vitol role. "

'Meditation: Mechanism of Conflict Resolution'

In his on-stage discussion with Ray Dalio, the Prime Minister said that meditation could also be a means for conflict resolution. PM Modi said that meditation was important as it helps in having a balance in life along with the correct views. 

"So at that we should develop a mechanism of conflict resolution. I can speak from my experience, being a person related to meditation. Having the right balance in life and the right views of the world. When you observe the situation by detaching yourself, you end up walking towards the direction with balanced thoughts and meaningful decisions. During the entire process, the people who are associated with regular meditation feel particular energy within themselves. So yes, as you said correctly, meditation has its own importance. "

Dalio lauds PM Modi

Dalio praised Modi for doing 'many remarkable things' in India. "You are not representing the poor or the rich and you are not representing one faction in relationship to another. You have joined the country together. You have made tremendous accomplishments. You have brought something like 500 million toilets and you have brought water and you will bring water to all of those people and you are changing their wellbeing in a united way. You are creating an economy that is making a great deal of progress for all of the people in a broader way," Dalio said.
