Mehbooba Mufti toes Pakistan's line yet again, demands Imran Khan to be given a chance despite his brazen remarks on Pulwama attack

Former J&K CM and PDP chief, Mehbooba Mufti, has once again toed Pakistan's line by backing for talks with the neighboring country despite the reluctance of Pakistam PM Imran Khan to admit his country's role in the Pulwama attack on February 14.

Taking to Twitter, Mufti sympathised with Imran - who took oath as his nation's PM in 2018 -  and a took a dig at her own country's government by linking war with elections.

"Disagree. Pathankot dossier was given to them but no action was taken to punish the perpetrators . Time to walk the talk. But Pak PM deserves a chance since he’s recently taken over. Of course the war rhetoric has more to do with the impending elections than anything else," her message read.

For the first time in the aftermath of the Pulwama attack, Imran Khan issued a statement. Despite Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) claiming responsibility for the attack, the Pakistan PM remained defiant in his stand that his country was not in any manner involved in the attack, and instead put the onus on Indian authorities for the attack which took the lives of 40 CRPF jawans.

"How can India blame us without any evidence? Why will we do this when we are on the road of development? If they only have to blame Pakistan, then how can we move on? How we will resolve the Kashmir issue if they only blame Pakistan for every attack in Kashmir," he said.

In another shameless statement, the Pakistan PM threatened for another attack, saying that Pak will not back on India's action against the Pulwama terror attack.

"It is the election year for you, and we understand that you will get the boost if you will Pakistan a lesson. If you (Indian govt) think you can attack us and we will not think of retaliating, we will retaliate," Imran Khan added.
