Mehbooba Mufti's daughter takes over her Twitter account, seeks answer

Former J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti's daughter tweeted from the PDP leader's official Twitter account. She informed that her mother sought information from Centre

Former Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti's daughter tweeted from the PDP leader's official Twitter account. In a brief post Iltija Javed informed that her mother Mehbooba Mufti had authorised her to take over her Twitter account. She also posted a letter from Mehbooba Mufti to the Centre's Home Secretary and Jammu and Kashmir's Home Secretary asking for details about those arrested or detained by the Security Forces including the number of minors among those arrested/detained and the number of deaths occured during the arrest/detention. Iltija Javed allowed to meet Mehbooba by Supreme Court

Iltija Javed, daughter of Mehbooba Mufti, was allowed to visit Srinagar to meet her by the Supreme Court. Iltija had moved the apex court citing Mufti's health as a concern with she hadn't seen her for over a month now. This comes after the former J&K CM was put under house arrest following the historic abrogation of Article 370 which allowed the state of Jammu & Kashmir to enjoy a special status. Iltija posted her recent tweet from Mehbooba's account following the meeting.

House arrest of J&K leaders following intergation of region with India

Post the abrogation of Article 370 in J&K, several leaders including, former J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti, National Conference leader Omar Abdullah and People's Conference leaders Sajjad Lone and Imran Ansari were taken into preventive custody. Mufti was then taken to Hari Niwas - a VVIP guest house and placed under house arrest. The SC on September 5, Thursday, allowed shifting of CPI(M) leader from the region Mohammed Yousuf Tarigami to AIIMS Delhi on Sitaram Yechury's plea. On September 5, the SC alowed shifting of Tarigami to AIIMS Delhi on Yechury's plea.
