MHA constitutes ‘Terror Monitoring Group’ to crackdown on terrorists financers in valley: Sources
The Ministry of Home Affairs has constituted the 'Terror Monitoring Group' in order to end attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and to ensure concerted action against terror groups, sources said.

This group will have representatives from the Information Bureau (IB), the National Investigation Agency (NIA), the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) along with the state's Additional DGP CID.
The news comes after two terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir in which led to the martyrdom of CRPF jawans made headlines.
Two terrorists who attacked security forces were gunned down in Awantipora in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. Both the terrorists are linked to the Lashkar-e-Taiba. Five CRPF jawans have been martyred in the gunfight.
On Wednesday, in a terror attack, a police post was targetted in South Kashmir's Anantnag. Five CRPF Jawan has been reportedly martyred and three others were injured in the terror attack have been taken to a Srinagar hospital for specialised treatment. Republic TV sources have confirmed Pakistan's complicity in the Anantnag terror attack on Wednesday.

Al Umar Mujahideen, a small terror outfit based in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK) had claimed responsibility for the terror attack in Anantnag. But agencies contradicting the claim have suspected the role of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in the attack.
In another attempt to shield terror organisations based in Pakistan, the country reportedly used Al Umar Mujahideen's name as a fig leaf for a terror attack perpetrated by LeT.
PM Narendra Modi addressed the Shangai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit's Plenary session on Friday, June 14, in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. As the Prime Minister spoke on a range of topics, he emphasized the importance of the fight against terror, especially in the Central Asian region. In a strong statement against terror, in the presence of Pakistan PM Imran Khan on the same table, PM Modi said that countries sponsoring terror must be held accountable.
