MK Stalin hopes verdict will be carried out without damaging diversity

On the basis of the Supreme Court's landmark verdict on the Ayodhya land dispute, Leader of the opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, MK Stalin tweeted in Tamil that, "I hope that they will carry it (the verdict) out cautiously and without any prejudice." Stalin in the tweet further stated, "the Supreme Court's Ayodhya Verdict is delivered and it should be followed but with respect to the religious sentiments and without any damage to the country's diversity."

'The Supreme Court of India has found a solution'

MK Stalin had further attached a statement in the tweet, where he further stated in Tamil, "The Supreme Court of India has found a solution to the long-standing issue of the Ayodhya title dispute." Stalin added, "I am sure that after the Supreme Court's constitutional ruling, all parties will be treated with equal thought and caution." He reiterated "without any prejudice and without any damage to the country's diversity."

The Supreme Court's verdict on the Ayodhya case

Pronouncing the landmark verdict in the Ayodhya dispute case, the Supreme Court on Saturday delivered a unanimous judgment in the title suit of the disputed area awarding it to the Hindu parties for the construction of a temple. It also directed the Centre to come up with a scheme within three months to set up a trust which will hand over the outer courtyard and inner courtyard of the site for construction of a temple. Apart from this, the SC stated that an alternate land of 5 acres is to be allotted to Muslims either by the central govt or the State govt, in a suitable and prominent place in Ayodhya. CJI Ranjan Gogoi, while delivering the unanimous judgment, dismissed the claims of the Sunni Central Waqf Board and the Nirmohi Akhara. He also termed that the three-way division of the disputed land by the Allahabad HC in its 2010 verdict is wrong.
