On the second day of Modi-Xi Summit, PM Narendra Modi personally welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping; the two leaders are set to talk in a one-on-one session

On the second day of the Modi-Xi Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping. The two leaders are set to talk in a one-on-one session followed by lunch before the Chinese Premier leaves for Kathmandu in Nepal. The two leaders are set to have around six hours of one-on-one free-wheeling talks, officials said. On Saturday morning, Modi and Xi will have a comprehensive one-on-one meeting to be followed by delegation-level talks. Both PM Modi and Chinese Premier Xi Jinping will then issue separate statements on the outcome of the summit.

The one-on-one meeting is scheduled to be held for almost 40 minutes. It is began to start at 10 am, the sources said, adding that the two sides are slated to issue their press statements. The delegation-level talks will take place following the one-on-one engagement. "The process started in June when the first team came here for recce," the source also stated.
Nepal prepared to welcome President of China, Xi Jinping
The Government of Nepal has planned a grand welcome for the President of China, Xi Jinping when he arrives in the country on October 12. It has set up welcome gates at several locations in Kathmandu along with the flag of both the countries. Furthermore, the portrait of Chinese President Jinping has been put on poles. This will be the first-ever visit by a Chinese head of the state to Nepal in 23 years. The engagements of the Chinese President will last for two days.
