What is a Mohalla Clinic?

Set up in 2015 by the Aam Aadmi Party, Mohalla clinics are primary health centers located all around New Delhi offering essential health services including medicines, diagnostics, and consultation free of cost. Hailed as India's answers to a good health care system, the Kejriwal govt. had aimed to set up 1000 clinics throughout the NCR region. While 100 Mohalla clinics have been up and running since 2015, the Aam Aadmi Party opted out of the Centre's healthcare scheme Ayushman Bharat - preferring Mohalla clinics.
