Mother's Day: Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh posts wonderful baby photo celebrating his 'first teacher and truest friend'

On the occasion of Mother's Day, senior Congress leader and Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh took to Twitter and shared a throwback picture with his mother. In the picture, the Punjab CM can be seen as a baby sitting on his mother's lap for the family portrait. His sisters can be seen sitting by both his mother's sides. 

Sharing the picture, he called his mother his first teacher and truest friend, and said that he is reliving the memories of so many cherished moments spent with her. Adding that today is the day to celebrate our bond, Captain Amarinder expressed gratitude towards his mother saying, "What you taught is who I became & I am ever grateful to have you as my mother".

Sachin Tendulkar gifted a cake to his mother on the occasion and sharing a post on Twitter, he wrote, "Someone rightly said, "God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made Mothers."

Union Minister Smriti Irani shared a heartfelt post about her mother. The BJP leader took to Instagram and posted a picture of her mother where she spoke about her strengths.
