In a shocking incident in Hoshangabad city in Madhya Pradesh, a video has surfaced on Friday where State Police were seen giving tips on how to consume alcohol in an event organised by the police on the theme of ‘Prohibition of Alcohol’. During the event, ASP of Hoshangabad Ghanshyam Malviya, instead of speaking about the harmful effects caused by consumption of alcohol, spoke about the different ways of consuming alcohol. He said that Alcohol should be consumed after 18 years of age and the youth should consume it while having dinner, then watch TV and then sleep within half an hour.

Cop gives tips on consuming alcohol

In the event organised by the Adamgarh police, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ghanshyam Malviya asked the children, women and the senior citizens present whether they consume alcohol. When the hesitant audience did not respond, he started giving them tips. He told the senior citizens that they have consumed a lot of alcohol and now they are saying that the practice should be stopped. Malviya even went on to say that the government identifies alcohol as poison but still it is being prepared all over the country. He said, “I will tell you about how to use this poison.” The audience was shocked but nobody said a word but people were heard murmuring whether this was a camp organised on Alcohol prohibition or the ways of consuming alcohol.

"Consume in a limited quantity"

The ASP said that rich people do not get insulted when they consume alcohol but the poor people do because of the rich people drink in their houses and the poor drinks on the road. He added, “If people are habitual to consuming alcohol then they should drink in their houses and not in the open. This will also help in reducing the number of accidents and won’t have an impact on children and senior citizens.” He also advised the people that they should not drink a whole bottle of alcohol at once but in limited quantity. Reacting on this incident, SP ML Chari has rubbished the reports, saying that this has been shown in a twisted way.
