Mumbai Rains forecast: IMD predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall in Mumbai city and suburbs on Tuesday
After a day of incessant rains lashing Mumbai, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted more rainfall in the country's financial capital over the next 24 hours.

After a day of incessant rains lashing Mumbai, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted more rainfall in the country's financial capital over the next 24 hours.
Here's what the IMD has forecast for the 24 and 48 hours starting 8 pm on on Monday, as per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC):
24 hours: Intermittent rain with heavy to very heavy falls is likely to occur in city and suburbs
48 hours: Intermittent rain with few spells of heavy falls likely to occur in city and suburbs
On Monday, starting from early in the morning, heavy rainfall gripped the financial capital, disrupting traffic and affecting Mumbai's vital lifeline, the local railways. The eastern suburbs witnessed water logging and some trains were delayed by half and hour or more. Even the Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Barve tweeted the warning issued by the IMD:
