"Naxal bullets should be answered in their own language," says Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel condemning the Maoist terror attack on the BJP convoy in Dantewada

Maoist terrorists attacked a BJP convoy in Chhattisgarh, resulting in the martyrdom of four CRPF jawans and BJP Dantewada MLA Bheema Mandavi.

Maoist terrorists attacked a BJP convoy in Chhattisgarh, resulting in the martyrdom of four CRPF jawans and BJP Dantewada MLA Bheema Mandavi. 

Following the attack chief minister Bhupesh Baghel announcing the news on his twitter has extended his tributes to the martyrs. In a series of tweets, he has condemned the 'heinous incident' and stated that the government is 'continuously working' over the trust of the tribal community.

His tweets read:

"Our MLA colleague Bhima Mandavi and four jawans have been victims of Naxal attacks. This is another big and highly condemnable attack on parliamentary democracy after the Juraram attack. I am very, very shocked. I don't have words to express sorrow. Humble tributes to the martyrs."

"Who will understand this pain more than us who have lost a whole generation of their leaders in a large Naxal attack? Our government is continuously working to win the trust of the tribal people in the entire Chag including Bastar. The Naxalites are taking it up. This heinous incident is the result of his own saying."

He further notified that the incident is being reviewed by the top officials and that instructions have been given to the security officers to retaliate the Naxal bullets in their 'own language'

"We once again reaffirm our commitment to our fight to strengthen parliamentary democracy with firmness. I am reviewing the incident with the top officials. I have given instructions to the officers that the Naxal bullets should be answered in their own language.​​​​​," his tweet read.​

The CRPF confirmed that the incident occurred between  Kuakonta and Syamgiri in Dantewada and the convoy of the BJP MLA Bheema Mandavi came under an IED attack when he was on his way to a political campaign. 

Following the attack a high-level meet was conducted at the chief minister's residence that found DG Naxal, DG Intelligence, DGP DM Awasthi, media advisor to CM Ruchir Garg in attendance.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the attack has extended his tributes to the security personnel who were martyred in the attack and the BJP MP Bhima Mandavi.
