Netizens slam Pakistan President Arif Alvi over fake news video on J&K

Exposing the fake news propaganda being spread by the Arif Alvi, netizens took down the Pakistan President and called him out for the fake video he shared.

Pakistan President Arif Alvi posted a video, trying to propagate fake news on Jammu and Kashmir. The video posted out by the Pakistan President Muzzafarabad, while he claimed it to be from Srinagar. Exposing the fake news propaganda being spread by the Arif Alvi, social media users took down the Pakistan President and called him out for the video he claimed to be of Srinagar. Netizens took to Twitter and showed the mirror to Arif Alvi over his tweet.

While Pakistan is continuously trying to instigate fake news on Kashmir, a call for action by Twitter against such handles on its platform has been made by India. Recently, Twitter sent a notice to Pakistan President Arif Alvi over the false video shared by him on Twitter. However, the micro-blogging website refused to take action against the fake news peddled by the Pakistan President, claiming that it investigated the fake news posted by Arif Alvi and that it could not identify any violation of Twitter Rules or applicable laws.

In his tweet, Pakistan President Arif Alvi had posted out a video claiming it to be from Srinagar. Even as the Jammu and Kashmir government has consistently assured of peace in the Valley and other parts of the Union Territory in the wake of abrogation of Article 370, Pakistan has not yet backed down in spreading fake news on social media in the matter. Earlier, Pakistan Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi posted a tweet trying to "show" the world in what he claimed to be a video from the Kashmir valley. However, exposing its fake propaganda, it was soon established that the video was an old video from Haryana from 2017.
