ATTEMPT TO MALIGN FORCES:

As India abrogated the Article 370 and bifurcated the state of Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories thereby integrating the J&K with rest of India, there has been an attempt to malign the forces that are dedicated to restoring normalcy and ensure peace in the valley. While rumour-mongering and fake news is being constantly peddled from across the border, including Pakistani ministers and Pak PM Imran Khan being the flagbearers, some anti-national elements within the country have also colluded with them to spread fake news about the forces. In the latest, Shehla Rashid claimed that army is disrupting the lives of common people in Kashmir. However, the Indian Army rejected the 'baseless' claims of Shehla Rashid, the leader of Jammu & Kashmir People's Movement who alleged atrocities against Kashmir residents by the Forces.   The Armed forces called out the divisive attempts by 'inimical elements' to "incite the population" in Jammu and Kashmir, amid the ongoing circumstances in the valley with the abrogation of Article 370 and the consequent communication blockade still present in parts of the valley.

"Allegations levelled by Shehla Rashid are baseless and rejected. Such unverified and fake news is spread by inimical elements and organisations to incite unsuspecting population," the Army stated.
