NHA and Google join hands, plans to strengthen Ayushman Bharat scheme

NHA and Google have joined on Friday to strengthen the implementation of PM Modi's scheme- Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY).

The National Health Authority (NHA) and Google have joined on Friday to strengthen the implementation of Prime Minister Modi's scheme - Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY). According to reports, the NHA and Google will be exploring several cases to increase the efficiency of application processes. The CEO of NHA, Indu Bhushan shared the news of collaboration on Twitter. According to reports, the collaboration is said to achieve PM Modi's goals to help the poor and improve their access to proper healthcare.

According to reports, the collaboration of both the organizations for AB PM-JAY's scheme is focused on creating it into the world's best health insurance programme and also make it extremely efficient. Further, Google will be supporting the NHA in improving PM's flagship scheme's digital presence. It will also showcase relevant content to the 50 crore entitled beneficiaries. Along with this, reports stated that Google will provide training programmes to the NHA employees to build their digital skills.

The NHA is implementing the programme, hailed as the world's largest public-funded health insurance scheme aimed to bring quality healthcare to around 50 crore poor and vulnerable Indians across India.

About Ayushman Bharat scheme

The Ayushman Bharat Yojana, also known as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's flagship scheme that aims to help the poor Indians who are in need of healthcare facilities. PM Modi launched this scheme in 2018 and aimed to help about 50 crore citizens. The scheme also plans to make the secondary and tertiary healthcare completely cashless, stated reports. Further reports stated that, as of 2019, over four lakh people have been provided with the required healthcare and over 10 crore e-cards have been issued.
