After normalcy being restored in Kashmir, a panicky and isolated Pakistan expelled Indian envoy Ajay Bisaria from the country. As per sources, Pakistan also decided to not send its High Commissioner-designate who was supposed to take charge in August. Among all the actions that Pakistan has been taking against India post the Jammu & Kashmir integration with the country, they have now also gone ahead and banned the screening of Indian films in Pakistan.

"No Indian movie to be screened in Pakistani cinemas and policy is being formulated to ban every sort of Indian cultural content in Pakistan ," said Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant to Pakistan Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting.

Meanwhile, Pakistan on Wednesday expelled Indian High Commissioner Ajay Bisaria, after it decided to downgrade the diplomatic ties with India over what it called New Delhi's "unilateral and illegal" move to revoke the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
