Incessant rains in the Nashik district of Maharashtra have affected the quality of onions in the state. Farmers complained that they are given very less money for large quintals of onions, while the retailer is selling the same at Rs 80 per kg. The disturbed farmers appealed to the government for intervention, as the flooded sheds and fields of onions caused them a great loss.
