Republic TV has accessed a shocking video on Monday where former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah is seen crossing all limits while interacting with a woman voter.

During a public meeting in Varuna in Mysuru, a woman was complaining against the senior Congress leader's son, Yathindra Siddaramaiah, that he not is available in his constituency, and was asking for a hospital.

In the dramatic footage, as soon as the woman speaks about Yathindra the former state CM loses his control and gets up and starts yelling in public and makes the woman forcibly sit down.

Later, he even abashedly pulls at her dupatta in front of the crowd while grabbing the mic from her.

Here is the sequence of events that took place:

Siddaramaiah is holding a public meeting in Varuna, Karnataka

The woman asks a question at a public meeting

38 men are surrounding the woman asking the question

Siddaramaiah raises his hand and voices anger

Siddaramaiah pulls forward and snatches the microphone and duppatta off the woman

Siddaramaiah asks the woman to get out

Woman stands up to raise her concern

The former Karnataka CM gets up and angrily asks her to sit down

Siddaramaiah grabs her shoulder and pushes her down

Onlookers join Siddaramaiah's chorus

Combative Siddaramaiah now angrily asks her to sit down

Onlookers force woman to shut up

Two men grab woman's shoulder and ask her to shut up

Woman police officer also asks woman to keep quiet

Furious Siddaramaiah bangs table, and then again

Woman, now in tears, continues to raise demand

SHOCKING: Congress justifies Siddaramaiah's outrageous behaviour with woman seeking a hospital, pins blame on her 'agitated manner'

The Congress has blamed the woman for the incident saying she was behaving in an agitated manner.

Dinesh Gundu Rao, the Congress Karnataka chief, said, "She was talking in an agitated manner, as it is a local thing, sometimes when people start asking questions in a rush way, you take away the mike, when he tried to take away the mike her duppatta was pulled away it is not. To impute any such intention is horrifying. The intention was to only take the mike away from her."

Siddaramaiah's party Congress has been facing political turmoil in the state.

Earlier on Monday, after ally JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy and Karnataka chief minister said he was willing to quit from the CM's post unless the Congress reined in its MLAs who have called Siddaramaiah the super-CM.

After being questioned by the reporters over the controversy, Siddaramaiah said, "Talk to him (Kumaraswamy) about it, not me"

The BJP has asked Rahul Gandhi to take action against Siddaramaiah.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar while speaking about the incident said, "Today what we have seen on the screen of how the ex-CM of Karnataka and Congress senior leader has behaved with the woman, it is a violation and is condemnable. I hope HD Kumaraswamy has seen this and in Karnataka it's a cognisable offence. Rahul Gandhi instead of asking resignation from BJP leaders, must take action against his own CM."
