PAKISTAN BEWARE: Five missiles in India's arsenal that can teach a lesson Pak will never forget

Tensions have tightened between India and Pakistan after a military confrontation between the two on Wednesday. It became with the Pulwama attack that was perpetrated by UN-designated Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists that martyred 40 jawans, to which India retaliated in a counter-terrorism operation demolishing terror-camps in Pakistan. In an act of aggression, tensions peaked after Pakistan violated the airspace of India and took an Air Force pilot to custody.

Tensions have tightened between India and Pakistan after a military confrontation between the two on Wednesday. All political parties of India, national as well as regional, stood in solidarity in the fight against terror-friendly neighbour and even the citizens lauded the sacrifice of the forces.

1. Prahaar

Developed by DRDO, an Indian solid-fuel road-mobile tactical ballistic missile is expected to replace Prithvi-I. It is equipped with state-of-the-art navigation, guidance and electromechanical actuation systems with the developed onboard computer. It has a long range of 150 kilometres and currently is in the process of being developed.

2. Brahmos

A medium-range BrahMos supersonic cruise missile that can be launched from submarine, ships, aircraft, or land. It has a range of 300-500 kilometre.

3. Prithvi-2

A tactical surface-to-surface short-range ballistic missile was developed by DRDO of India under the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program. 

Range 150-250 kilometre
Status: Operational

4. Agni-1

Developed after Kargil war, it is a short-range ballistic missile developed by DRDO of India under the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program.

Range 700-1,200 kilometer
Status: Operational 

5. Nirbhay

A long-range, all-weather, subsonic cruise missile designed and developed in India by DRDO. It is capable of carrying conventional and nuclear warheads

Range: 800-1000 kilometre
Status: In development
